Foreword by the authors
As with the basic HTML tutorials, the intention with these tutorials is not to provide a means of training someone to become a professional Web designer.

Tutorials alone cannot achieve this as "good design" is, we believe, in the creative side of all of us but has to be developed by the combination of experience and "a good eye" for what looks right in a particular context.

How to use these tutorials
These tutorials are intended to follow on as a learning progression from the previous set of tutorials also available on this site.

It is assumed that those using these tutorials have attained a knowledge of HTML at least to the standard reached in the first five lessons.

It should be pointed out that these tutorials do not teach anything other than HTML authoring. To produce a tutorial which taught the principles of directory structure and everything you need for the variety of graphics packages would equate to one of the Tasks of Hercules.
Although, as we continue to develop this project, the areas covered upon the site will digress to cover a multitude of techniques.
